Under-19 World Cup wrap: All-round Young makes it two in two for West Indies

Nyeem Young's all-round performance meant that West Indies beat England comprehensively by 71 runs in a rain-curtailed game, days after they beat Australia in their tournament opener. Young, batting at No. 7, made 66 off 41 balls, walking in when his side was in a bit of trouble at 138/5. Kelvon Anderson's 86 not out kept one end taut, as West Indies's powered through to a 267/7 in 50 overs, picking 104 runs in the last ten overs after being sent in to bat.
Young shone with the ball again, picking 5 for 45 in his nine overs as England lost wickets in clusters after a stable 53-run opening stand. England were placed at 129/3 where Young razed through the middle order, reducing them to 151/8 in less than six overs. England were reeling at 184/9 after 43.4 overs when rain arrived, the DLS par score 71 ahead of where they were at the moment. The play couldn't resume and West Indies won by DLS method

Australia made short work of Nigeria in their second World Cup game, beating them by 10 wickets to register first points in the tournament. Opting to bat first, Nigeria were blown away for 61 in 30.3 overs, thanks to a five-wicket haul from Tanveer Sangha that found ample support from Bradley Simpson and his three wickets. Only opener Elijah Olaleye made it to double digits.
Chasing a modest total, Sam Fanning and Jake Fraser-McGurk blazed away and tracked down the 62-run target in only 7.4 overs.
