As we know that Australia scored 300 in the first innings yesterday and India played just one over yesterday scoring none without any fall of wicket. The batsmen Murali vijay and Rahul resumed the day 2 for India with Pat Cummins bowling the first over of the day. Australia got the early wicket of Murali vijay through a wonderful delivery from hazlewood. Then the big guy Pujara entered the crease and played wonderful innings alongside with Rahul. Both the batsmen scored an half-century and Rahul was dismissed before lunch.
The second session of the day went in favour of India as Pujara and Rahane made up a good partnership without losing any wickets even though Rahane struggled a lot against Pat Cummins. Pat Cummins and his bouncers was still a better love story than Twilight.
The third session of the day went in favour of Australia with Lyon picking up four wickets in the session. Lyon bowled some mystery deliveries which produced extra bounce along with a good turn and those deliveries just outplayed the batsmen but yet other spinner O keefe was poor with his bowling. At the end of the day, India were 248/6 trailing Australia by 52 runs with Jadeja and Saha on the crease.
Australia need just 4 more wickets including 2 tail enders and they are expected to dismiss India with a lead of 30+ runs. If Australia gets a lead of 250+ in the third innings, then it will definitely be a tough chase for any team in the fourth innings. Let's hope for the best!
